Cigar Review: Romeo y Julieta Puritos

Continuing on with my reviews on machine made Habanos, the Romeo y Julieta Puritos was a no brainer for me, as I tend to enjoy most of what the marca has to offer. The Romeo y Julieta Puritos is another cigarillo sized machine made Habanos, that for this review came in a five pack. They are currently sold in a five pack or a 25 count small box to consumers.

Smooth cocoa filled beginning, with a surprisingly long finish, the Romeo y Julieta Puritos came out of the gate swinging. Thus far, I would have to say the Romeo y Julieta Puritos has the best finish of the cigarillos I have smoked. No spice notes were present, and some floral notes I attribute with the brand were there. Harshness arrived at midpoint, and the Romeo y Julieta Puritos became a bit unbalanced. Strong green spice hit the end, and the espresso was a nice fit to round out the rougher ending. I think a bit of age may influence the performance for me. Not sure I would place this above the Partagas Chicos or Cohiba clubs at this time.
