Habanos S.A. News: Inconcente Núñez Blanco Named New Co-President of Habanos S.A.


Less than a week before the 17th Festival Habanos, Habanos S.A. has named a new Co-President for Habanos S.A. The board of directors for Habanos S.A. announced Inconcente Núñez Blaco the new Co-President earlier today, and Mr. Blanco is an individual who does not come from within Habanos S.A.


Núñez Blaco was born in the provice of Pinar del Rio, and earned his Bachelor Degree in Economics, with a great understanding of Agriculture. Between 2001 and 2004, Blanco was Vice-President of Economics of the Grupo Tabacuba, and was eventually appointed to become Vice-Minister of Economics of the Ministry of Agriculture from 2004 to 2010. From then, he was appointed Chief of the Food and Agriculture Mission in Venezuela. 

Before joining Habanos S.A., Núñez Blaco was was Vice-President of Human Resources in Brascuba Cigarillos S.A. Joint Venture. Brascuba handles Cohiba. H. Upmann, Popular,Vegas Robaina, and Hoyos de Monterrey Cigarettes. Núñez Blaco has stated high his commitment and willingness to work in order to maintain the leadership of Habanos S.A. in the premium cigar market.
